Based in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, Orionis Mining Consulting will support Cypher Environmental’s continued expansion across West Africa, including Burkina Faso, Mali, Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea, and Ghana.
As mining operations across the region continue to grow and evolve, the demand for stronger infrastructure, improved operational efficiency, cost reduction, and environmentally responsible solutions is becoming increasingly important. Through this partnership, Cypher Environmental and Orionis Mining Consulting will work together to support mining operations and unpaved road infrastructure with long-term road solutions, including dust control and road stabilization technologies designed to improve haul road performance, reduce road maintenance expenditures, lower water usage, extend road life, and support safer, more efficient operations over the long term.

Meet the Founder: Eric Gratton
At the heart of Orionis Mining Consulting is founder and CEO, Eric Gratton, a Canadian mining executive with more than 30 years of international experience, including 20 years leading teams across the mining sector.
Much of Eric’s career has been spent working throughout West Africa with major mining companies including Fortuna Mining, Roxgold, Nordgold, and Semafo, where he held leadership positions ranging from superintendent roles to regional general management. His experience also extends to Northern Canada through work with Xstrata/Glencore.
Over the years, Eric developed a deep understanding of the operational realities mining companies face every day – from infrastructure and logistics to procurement, workforce management, sustainability, and operational efficiency. That experience ultimately led to the creation of Orionis Mining Consulting: a company built around practical expertise, strategic thinking, and long-term partnership.
Today, Eric and his team are focused on helping mining operations throughout Africa modernize and improve operations through a combination of technical expertise, operational support, and sustainable thinking.
