Here at Cypher Environmental, we have a clear corporate mandate – we aim to ensure all of our products are designed to solve environmental issues that are present in communities and industries worldwide that are caused by poor road conditions and we will do so while protecting and safeguarding our planet and stay true to our commitment to the environment.
To achieve that goal, our products are manufactured using only environmentally friendly, non-toxic and sustainable inputs. We source the raw materials we utilize with as many local materials as possible, and all our finished goods are shipped in concentrated form. This reduces shipping costs, related fuel burn and GHG production.

CSR Investment Strategy
While most companies call it their Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy, we like to see our donations and involvement as investments in our community. We give back to our communities by re-investing some of our proceeds into local charities and non-profits, as well as our product donations through the Cypher Green Roads program.
The Wildlife Have Rehabilitation Centre is a non-profit located in our home base of Winnipeg that we have been supporting for many years. Their mission to rescue sick, injured or orphaned wildlife and to the conservation of natural habitats align well with our goal of eliminating the use of harmful chemicals that are detrimental to wildlife.
Our Cypher Team
We are a group of like-minded individuals who 1) love animals and 2) care deeply for our planet. Every member of our team has a voice in determining which initiatives we support. We prioritize inclusivity and encourage all team members to contribute to our community reinvestment efforts.
Around the Office
Sustainability is ingrained in our office culture. You won’t find any single-use coffee pods here – in fact, we even compost our coffee grounds! Our paper is eco-friendly and Forest Stewardship Council certified. Additionally, our printers are set to print double-sided by default, so when we must absolutely print, the printer is set to reduce paper consumption by default.
As some commuting to the office/production facility is non-avoidable, we encourage the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) by our employees. To facilitate this transition, we have installed an EV charging station on-site to enable convenient charging for employees during the workday.
Our Packaging
Our commitment to the environment also extends to our packaging. Cypher utilizes a sustainable and local network of recycled IBC totes (packaging). These totes are recyclable and re-useable since our product can easily be washed out of used totes. By using recycled packaging, we are helping to reduce and minimize the overall impact of harmful wastes in landfills while helping to reduce greenhouse gases (GHGs) as less energy is required to re-manufacture packaging materials.
Undergoing Rigorous Audit
Cypher Environmental has successfully passed the rigorous US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) audit process to achieve EPA Safer Choice distinction for our DUST/BLOKR® product. As per the US EPA –
Products with the Safer Choice label help consumers and commercial buyers identify products with safer chemical ingredients, without sacrificing quality or performance.
Approximately only 1,900 products are qualified to carry the label worldwide.
Encouraging Others in their Commitment to the Environment
We strive to set a high standard for our industry and community. Our Distributors Meeting serves as a platform to showcase our environmental mandate to our partners worldwide, with the expectation that they will embrace a similar organizational pursuit. The principles of triple bottom line (also known as the 3 P’s principles) are ingrained in our ethos and we encourage our distributors to also approach their business the same way!
