They are our neighbors too – being the closest distributors to our headquarters in Manitoba, Canada. Father-son duo Ron and Brent Smith bring extensive experience in road construction, which led them to their relationship with Cypher Environmental. After several years of working for many “old school” companies in the road construction industry, they decided it was time to branch out on their own as 50/50 partners and SES (Smith Environmental Solutions) was formed.

BUILDING ON FAMILY FOUNDATION
The foundation of business at Smith Environmental Solutions is family. Brent is extremely grateful for the opportunity to have worked with his father for the last two decades. “Working with family can present a unique set of challenges,” admits Brent, “But in our case, and I think I can speak for Ron too, it has been an extremely enjoyable and rewarding experience.” Brent says that it was very encouraging to know that they were joining an organization that is also built on family values. “Todd, Darryl, and the whole head office team in Winnipeg, MB (Canada), have been very supportive and welcoming. We are also grateful to have met distributors (virtually for now) from all over the world who share their success stories so we can learn from one another.”

Even though SES is a new company, Ron and Brent have a combined 65+ years of industry experience. They are both members of Technology Professionals Saskatchewan (TPS). In addition, Ron has his Applied Science Technologist designation and Brent holds a Certified Technician designation. They are well connected throughout the province of Saskatchewan, putting SES in a good position for future growth. In addition to offering excellent products, SES provides consulting services to every client, large or small. “Most of our competitors sell their products and move on to the next potential client. We have received outstanding feedback from several clients on our professional service and excellent products,“ boasts Ron.
