From there, one of our business development or technical team members will answer you directly. We employ a full suite of technical road specialists including civil engineers, engineering technicians, and construction foremen, so you will have plenty of skill-sets available. Select a test road about a kilometre long – give or take!
DUST/BLOKR® works great on a wide variety of roads including access roads, secondary roads, and mine haul roads. You can also use DUST/BLOKR® for erosion control of mine tailings and stockpiles, and other unpaved surfaces. As per above, it’s important any smaller test projects are not too short in terms of road length, as it can be difficult to quantify or even visualize the dust reductions on the treated section due to fugitive dust carried on from the untreated ends of the DUST/BLOKR® treated section.
Fill out a questionnaire
Our Engineering Technicians and Geotechnical Specialists will evaluate the answers to determine the application rates. Send in photos of your potential road to be treated with your answers, because as they say, a picture says a thousand words! Once the rates have been determined you will receive a quote.
Receive your recommendations
We provide our recommendations based on the questionnaire results and the photos. Application rates will vary depending on factors such as road material type / geotechnical properties, traffic type, traffic volumes, etc. This is why the questionnaires are so important, as we always want to ensure we’ve offered our best advice to allow for maximum ROI for our customers when using our products.
Get your application plan
We move forward with the application plan once the quote is accepted. Our Geotechnical Specialist and Construction Foreman come up with a plan specifically tailored to your site.
An added bonus of using Cypher Environmental products is that we try to schedule to send a Construction Foreman as often as possible to supervise any first time application — no matter where you are in the world! This way you will understand exactly what needs to be done. In cases where we are unable to send a Construction Foreman, for safety issues or a global pandemic, we will offer the option of traveling to an alternative location where you can receive training or a Zoom conference to guide you along the way.
Get the product on-site
DUST/BLOKR® is highly concentrated, so a little product goes a long way. Typically the product is diluted in anywhere from 10 parts water to 5 parts water, depending on the variables discovered in the questionnaire. Dilution rates are even higher for erosion control applications such as tailings piles and stockpiles, helping to ease logistical costs to get the product on-site.
DUST/BLOKR® is shipped in 1000 liter (264 US gallons) IBC totes and can also be shipped in bulk.
