Since its creation by the Peruvian Institute of Mining Engineers (IIMP), in 1954, the biannual event PERUMIN Mining Convention aims at strengthening the specialized professional development of the attendants and to spread new knowledge that is the result of research, innovation and application of technology in mining operations. In the same manner, it contributes to spreading the importance of the mining sector for the development of the country.
In the 33rd edition of the convention, PERUMIN’s goal was not only to show the latest mining technology but provide effective solutions to the main problems our Peruvian mining sector faces. Cypher Environmental President and Owner Todd Burns was asked to speak on a panel, alongside fellow Canadian organizations MSTA Canada (formerly CAMESE), Maclean Engineering & Motion Metrics. On Tuesday, October 31, 2017, Eva Arias de Sologuren, PERUMIN 33 Organizing Committee Chair, wrote a letter to Todd, honouring him for his contribution to this year’s event.
