Now in its 12th year, Energy and Mines is where miners come to benchmark their net zero strategies; network with peers and decarbonization experts, and hear about the very latest technologies and solutions.
Major and mid-tier miners have set targets for net-zero mining and are in the process of identifying pathways to reach these goals. This is a complicated, uncharted transition involving a variety of technologies, strategies, financing structures and collaborations. Renewable energy, storage, electrification, hydrogen and sustainable fuels are all seen to have a role in achieving the net zero mine but there are still questions around the implementation, performance, cost, integration, commercialization and interoperability of these solutions.
