An environmental solution for dust control is of the utmost importance in NWT.
When Soham Srimani, band manager and Chief Steve Vital of Nahanni Butte in the NWT were looking for a solution to their dust problem in the community, they crossed paths with the distribution sales manager for BBE Expediting, a distributor of DUST/BLOKR® in the NWT. With only a handful of dust control products approved by the NWT, their options were limited to chloride products that erode vehicles and are not environmentally friendly.
Kasia Bosnjak, the distribution sales manager for BBE Expediting, one of our distributors stated, “Salt attracts wildlife to roads, it damages vegetation, and – especially when you have a road located near a waterway, like we have in Nahanni Butte – it can negatively affect a whole ecosystem.”
