Cypher Environmental’s 2023 Charity Golf Tournament raises $27,000 for the Wildlife Haven

Cypher Environmental is thrilled to announce that our 4th Annual Charity Golf Tournament raised more than $27,000 in support of the Wildlife Haven Rehabilitation Centre.

This year’s event was held on Tuesday, September 19th at Glendale Golf & Country Club. After 3 years of hiatus, we received an overwhelming response with over 100 golfers registered for a day of friendly competition, all for a worthy cause.

“We were a little concerned about our ability to generate interest in the charity golf tournament this year, due to a three-year hiatus as a result of the pandemic. However, our concern could not have been less warranted. The day went off without a hitch, from the beautiful weather and cooperation from Mother Nature, to the overwhelming support from the local community in the form of sponsorships, prize donations and golfers,” says Todd Burns, CEO of Cypher Environmental.

The Wildlife Haven Rehabilitation Centre has been rehabilitating injured, sick and orphaned wildlife for their return to the wild since 1984. The non-profit organization is a volunteer-driven registered charity that has cared for over 50,000 wildlife who play a vital role in the ecological and biological processes that are essential to life in Manitoba.  The Wildlife Haven campus is located on an 18 acres in Île des Chênes, Manitoba and includes a newly accredited wildlife veterinary hospital that is fully equipped with a full-time licensed veterinarian, diagnostics equipment, and an operating room to provide emergency care, procedures, and surgeries for sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife from all over Manitoba.

Funds raised from the golf tournament will go towards providing much needed resources and medical care to sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife.

We couldn’t have done it alone, and will be eternally grateful for the support we received especially from James Chapman from Glendale Golf & Country Club, Zoe Nakata from the Wildlife Haven, and Steve Loney from Enbridge, not to mention our generous sponsors, donors, participants, volunteers and in-kind supports who helped make the day a resounding success.

The overwhelming support and overall success of this year’s golf tournament has paved the way for its return next year! Stay tuned for more details for another exciting day of golf and raising funds for the Wildlife Haven!
